When can somebody start calling themselves a vegetarian after some time of not eating meat? How far along can someone call themselves a vegetarian?
I think you can call your self a vegetarian the day you give up meat, as long as you are making a deliberate effort to no longer consume animal products. There is no set time stamp that you pass and "poof" you're now a vegetarian.
If you are committed to being a vegetarian, and no longer consuming meat, or slaughter by-products, you are considered a vegetarian.
After about a week they can say that they are not eating meat for suchandsuch reasons. After about a month and a half they can say "I am a vegetarian and you should be too!" But in all actuality you can call your self a vegetarian, a flabbergoober, a monster, and not actually do anything. it's a free country. But if you don't want people saying that you haven't really commited yet, wait. How far along can someone call themselves a vegetarian?
i don't really know
but i think if you don't eat meat for about a month that you did not eat meat than you can call yourself a vegetarian
i called my self a vegi. the day i didn't order a steak at a steak house. eating meat sickens me... watch for those of you crule people....http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=e鈥?/a>How far along can someone call themselves a vegetarian?
Um... When ever they want... I said i was going vegan the day i started... A week later i said i was vegan... Takes a week for the meat to completely leave your system so i took it a week...
A week probably. I said that i was going vegetarian, and then it just trickled out to "I am a vegetarian".
I found it easier to say that "I have switched eating habits to a vegetarian diet." I had to tell my boss, as she was inviting me for dinner the same day I made the change. To announce I was a vegetarian sounded a little unbelievable.
As soon as you stop eating meat I think, if you are committed to staying vegetarian.
As soon as you quit eating meat, and make the decision not to eat meat in the future, you are a vegetarian.
i am not sure, being a vegetarian doesn't make you any better.
it is not pleasurable being biased toward any living thing.
it's all about being fair.
consuming plants only or more is in no way beneficial to the environment. all it does is create an imbalance.
i am neither selfish of my choice of foods to base it on personal benefits.
everything is to be done in moderation.
we are to accommodate everything on earth without to enjoy the best of it.
we are not to judge the degree of importance but respect it.
As soon as your Veggie ID card arrives - just kidding :-)
Being a vegetarian is a life style choice so the minute you decided to give up meat you became a vegetarian.
as soon as you decide to not eat meat ever again.
3 months i think becuase by that time you can be sure like it during those months you were craving meat and such then i wouldn't be calling myself a vegetarian but if you havn't then you're good and finally you can tell people that you are a vegetarian
