Is it normal to feel sick after eating vegetarian sausage for the first time?

This morning me and my sisters bought veggie sausage by mistake and didn't realize till we got home. We didn't think it was much different so we cooked it and ate it.

Well since then we've all felt sick to the stomach. My youngest sister's went away after a while, I still have mine, but my oldest sister feels the worst.

Is this a normal reaction to eating vegetarian sausage for the first time? Any idea when the pain might go away?Is it normal to feel sick after eating vegetarian sausage for the first time?
you shouldn't feel anymore sick eating a vegetarian sausage than a normal sausage. are you sure you cooked them properly? could it just be something else you've eaten? or a sickness bug that you've all caught?
I've never had a reaction like that, but still I'm not surprised. You probably have gas. Try Gas-X or something similar. Fake vegetarian 'meat' isn't really good for you. I think it contains a lot of isolated soy protein (which might be linked to cancer) and artificial flavor enhancers (might cause headaches just for one possibility). Being vegetarian is a healthy choice as long as you eat whole foods and stay away from heavily processed stuff. Vegetarian sausage is heavily processed. It's a science experiment. Is it normal to feel sick after eating vegetarian sausage for the first time?
Just my opinion, but vegietarian "meats" are just not good for eating. I like my veggies to be veggies and my meats to be meats. I tried those veggie sausages once and felt horrible for the whole day until they made their grand and gut wrenching exit. You'll be ok soon enough.
Im presuming you ate some kind of sausage with like TVP in it... that stuff always gives me a stomach ache and I have been told its not a healthy way of getting protein. But regardless, yeah it is normal. I remember the first time I tried that it made my stomach upset for a day.Is it normal to feel sick after eating vegetarian sausage for the first time?
It sounds like you might have food poisoning, which can happen with all different kinds of foods. Maybe it's because you were supposed to cook the veggie sausage differently from normal sausage, but it's probably just bad luck. You should feel better soon.
you might have gotten an expired one.

or it could have been something else you both ate. I'm assuming you ate it for breakfast, so maybe the eggs were bad? or moldy bread.

you will be fine, it will go away soon. just don't think about it

:)
no its not normal, you may be intolerant to gluten.
You could have a minor sensitivity to soy or gluten if that's what's in it
