If i become a full time vegetarian will i get fat?

i cant aford to gain more weight. im allreayd border overweight and its killing me. but i want to go vege but im afraid ill gain weight. so will it make me gain or lsoe weight? If i become a full time vegetarian will i get fat?
I was a vegetarian for a year and I did not gain a pound! I actually lost weight. I did not do it though to loose the weight, it was a healthier lifestyle for me. You make better decisions like eating more veggies and fruits and you'll feel more energized and awake! Its not a bad idea to have chicken breast once in a while. Its not a bad meat for you and it will keep you full. But, if you wanna do away with meat, make sure to get protein from beans, tofu, nuts, eggs, etc. It also depends if you make poor decisions. Meat or no meat sweets are vegetarian and can contribute to weight gain as well.

Good luck!
your borderline underweight.

but no you should not gain weight as long as you don't replace meat with unhealthy things like junk food, candy, or refined white sugars.

just try your best to keep your calorie intake the same.

good luck, and you are not fat.If i become a full time vegetarian will i get fat?
It depends on what your eat. if you only eat sugary foods yes you will gain weight. But if you eat more natural, whole, organic foods, you will reach a healthy weight.
No unless you eat bad foods that you might eat anyway. My daughter lost 60 pounds going vegan. Just depends. If i become a full time vegetarian will i get fat?
If anything, you should lose weight providing your diet does not solely consist of junk food or fast food, refined sugar items and pre-packaged and caned foods. Just think of eating mostly whole grain carbs, fruits, vegetables and healthy fats like avacadoes and nuts, and you will be fine!!
My cousin is a veg, she is very overweight. Really big. too much cheese and pasta! She is very large so beware!
It all depends on what you eat.

I had a friend who became a vegetarian and lost 40 lbs.

I've been a vegetarian for 6 months and haven't gained or lost any weight.

As long as you make sure to eat LOTS of fruits %26amp; vegetables you should be fine. Whatever you do-- don't replace your meat with lots of carbs. It's important to eat carbs (potatoes, corn, peas, grains, breads) but if you eat too many of them you WILL gain weight.

Also, try to avoid eating "vegetarian" junk food.

Try eating veggie dogs and "chicken"

Morningstar is my favorite brand.
No, as long as you dont overdo the rice ice cream, you'll be fine! Just kiddin, but no you wont get fat(not that it wouldnt hurt to gain a few pounds O.o) but just dont eat too much dairy.
my advice to you is to NOT replace meat with cheese if you eat a lot of cheese you WILL gain weight you can still eat normal amounts just don't eat lotsa cheese, it is very easy to do!
oh boy...you again? No, you won't. Everyone, don't give her the time of day. She's like 80 pounds and 13 years old.
After seeing several of your posts on here, I suggest you seek professional help.
If you become a vegan you'll shrivel up and die... EAT SOME GOD DAMN MEAT YOU ******* RETARD!
If anything you'll probably lose weight, unless you eat a bunch of dairy, junk, or processed stuff.
You wont gain weight by becoming vegetarian.

its what else you eat that will do that,

ive been a vegetarian for 3 years + Im not overweight x
