Is it healthier to be vegetarian? Are pigs not good to eat?

I heard pigs are the dirtiest animal is that true? I use to be vege but now I eat some meat some times and am wondering if I should go back to vegeism. Is it healthier to be vegetarian? Are pigs not good to eat?
Many societies dont eat pigs because they believe pigs are dirty animals.

Pig meat possibly could contain worms that can infect humans, if the meat is not fully cooked. Other things, like fungi infections could be possible since they spend alot of time in feces and dirt.

Most animals do not have bad things that can infect humans, because their bacteria or viruses are not geared to attack humans.

I have alot of respect for people that are vegetarian. Although it is sad, humans do eat meat. If you go back to eating like a herbivore, make sure you eat proteins beans and oils, like olive oil. Just humans need animal meet to help make new cells. Although pig meat does not have a beneficial nutrient, it can be substituted for something else.
Morning news had report on chickens, 1 of 5, have new bacteria, all brands from all producers, bacteria that spread to humans if meat is not cooked at 160degrees. Gov Doesnt test for bacteria. ,Gov stated tests will begin in 2007. Cook Everything Hot. Even the packs of coldcuts carry bugs.

Pigs look dirty, but I have always been told that they are among the cleanest. Is it healthier to be vegetarian? Are pigs not good to eat?
It depends what type of vegetarian you are as to how healthy it is. If you are a lacto/ovo/lacto-ovo vegetarian you are still getting animals fats, your cholesterol and heart health is no better than a non-veggie. If you are a vegan then you are healthier by theory. The important thing for a vegetarian is to get a well balanced meal and to get enough protein and iron from sources. And to answer the other question, pigs are as dirty as you and me.
If you still feel that desire for animals then you're not ready.
well look...vegetarians are usually lacking in nutrition, and this is because they fail to get the right amount of protein in their diet. they choose not to eat beans or nuts, and get screwed over for it. and pigs are only as dirty as you or me, what a mean stereotype
Bar-b-que ribs, bacon, yes good for you.
well you get more energy content from vegetables, everytime you go up the food chain, a person (or animal) looses 10x the energy in the original food, i do not know if a pig is the dirtiest animal.. but i refuse to eat them just because i dont liek the taste.

Didi you know that if Everyone was a vegetarian there would be no world hunger?? i learned that in Biology, i found it amazing.
Pigs have there good and bads. And meat is healthy! Just too much of it and your cholestorol rises and don't eat the fat.
it depends, if you still like to eat meat, or want to eat vegetables more, and well being vegetarian can kind of decrease your strength because meat usually gives you energy.
Pigs. Nothing to do with being "dirty". however pork can harbor a worm which causes a disease called trichinosis. It makes humans sick with vomiting, diarrhea and fever. But it is in the animal's muscles (which is th part you meat eaters eat), not on the animal's skin.

There is substantial evidence that a vegetarian diet is healthier than a meat eaters diet. However, that doesn't mean that eating meat is unhealthy. Just eat it in reasonable proportions.
humans need both meat and veggies, check out the different type of teeth you have. You have ones for tearing meat.
no
maybe dirties when alive but that is why animals are cleaned before we eat them.

Pork is the other white meat.

White meat (chicken, turkey, fish ) is considered healthier than pork and than red meat. but as always depends on how it is cooked and how much. If you enjoy meat eat it
