How do you settle your stomach after eating meat from being vegetarian for a long time?

please help? How do you settle your stomach after eating meat from being vegetarian for a long time?
If you really want to start eating meat again, just eat it in small amounts until it doesn't bother you anymore. Take TUMS, antacids, whatever you need if you want to keep trying. Typically it takes a lot more acid to break down meat than it would to break down plant life (it's why a carnivorous animal's stomach has ten times the acid as a herbivore's, and why omnivores like human beings fall somewhere in between). You might need to build up tolerance again since you might not be used to it.

I don't think you will ever lose the ability to break down meat because it doesn't require any special enzyme or acid, it just requires a greater quantity of the stomach acids you already have. Also, some of your symptoms might be self-inflicted - you might be feeling guilty or otherwise worrying that you WILL have symptoms, so you partially cause them to happen.

If you cut out dairy and try to reintroduce it, however, it is possible that you became intolerant, especially if it had been a long time. The enzyme required to break down the milk sugar lactose is biologically designed to taper off after weaning, but since some cultures continue dairy consumption past infancy enzyme levels might be maintained into adulthood and beyond. Even then there's OTC meds that can help you digest it, and lactose-free dairy stuff.
LOL, this one always makes me laugh.

You can settle your stomach by stopping thinking about having eaten meat. Your upset stomach is caused by guilt or trepidation. Guilt manifests itself as an upset stomach just like fear and anxiety do.

To say your body forgets how to digest meat is to say your body loses a characteristic that makes it homo sapiens. That doesn't happen. It's a "wives tale/urban legend" so to speak.

My many years of being a non vegetarian gives me ample credentials to help you.

take a look at this website http://www.meat.org. it will explain why your stomach is so upset. Probably to do with the way your mind is feeling now.
Oh dear! Well I guess you have learned your lesson.

Try some homeopathic Carbo Veg and for heaven's sake stay away from the dead animals unless you want to repeat this experience.
