I am vegetarian, but EVERYTHING that my mom/ dad cooks is vegetarian friendly. Do you have any suggestions for recipes or any meals? I am desperate...I'm tired of eating chips and little snacks all the time...I am a vegetarian and nothing that my mom cooks is vegetarian. have any suggestions for food choices?
Breaded zuchinni, eggplant parmesean, all kinds of salads, potato dishes, mexicorn, roasted peppers, do you eat eggs and cheese?
there are millions of things to eat without meat. I am not vegetarian, but I still eat LOTS of stuff that doesnt have meat in it. Just start cooking for yourself, and them too. Veggie pizzas are very good. Pollenta and marinara sauce.
vegetable stir frys, use tofu, Its not that hard to come up with stuff. Tell your Mom that you will do the shopping and cooking sometimes. enter vegetarian dishes into the search bar. Dont forget fruits too. I just had a sliced Pear and pepperjack cheese salad with balsamic vinigar and rosemary on it. That was awesome.
I would bet that I could go into your kitchen right now, and make a whole veggie meal that everyone would like.
move outI am a vegetarian and nothing that my mom cooks is vegetarian. have any suggestions for food choices?
Everything your mom makes is vegetarian friendly? So what's the problem?
im vegatarian and iwould suggest getting like "fake" frozen foods lke fake chicken nuggets because they are really good and a great source of protien. also tofu is good because it can be arranged in soo many ways, ask for dishes that can be cooked without the meat too!I am a vegetarian and nothing that my mom cooks is vegetarian. have any suggestions for food choices?
eat the side dishes (dont they make side dishes?) and sweetie, the only way I see is to make your own foods. The library has veg cookbooks and there are alot of online sites (like vegweb.com) that do too.
start out with easy things (like sandwiches, or scrambled eggs) and soon you'll be cooking in no time!
browse different vegetarian websites, and borrow vegetarian cookbooks from the local library. The book "skinny *****" provides a month's supply of meal plans, and educates you on healthy eating habits.
You can also go to cooking sites like "simply recipes", "allrecipes", "recipezaar" etc, and "search vegetarian meals".
Morning Star fake meats, Boco fake meats, Amy's vegetarian food line that is delish! You really can not tell the difference.
All fresh produce, fruits and vegetables, Milk product, soy,
you can do can corn, peas, green beans. Whole Wheat Bread,
I am a lazy cook. Sorry. Broccoli Soup. I cook big pots of
vegetable soups and things. That is why I am lazy. Roasted pepper is good too.
Lentils, beans, Bean Burritos, Chilli vegetarian.
Get yourself a slow cooker and cook up big pots of food.It is cheap and good food. Try East Indian Food. Potatoes is good. Also a food steamer is good for vegetables. You can cook a meal in 10 minutes or less. Stay away from nuts, you will get fat. Try Pita, low fat cheese,or soy cheese, cottage cheese, sherbet, I do not know if you are using milk products. Whole Toast with Peanut Butter (1 tablespoon equals 100 calories a day). Limit it. Also I got the
magic bullet, it has beautiful recipes too for vegetarians.
You can take a potatoe, clean and slice it. Put into oven and bake
at 360 degrees for about 20 minutes. Keep your eyes on the oven
and you can cook any type of vegetable like this. I like roasted vegetables. I have tried broccoli roasted, it is good.
Also try a lemon cake if you like to try a recipe out.
Pasta is vegetarian. Most of it. Read your labels.
You can cook pasta and use vegetarian sauce.
Rice is also a good food to cook. The recipe is on the package of
rice.
I have been a strict vegetarian for about 5 and a half years now and have learned that the key is to become creative. Everyone in my family eats meat, so I will usually ask my parents what they are making for dinner, and if it has meat in it, I will think of a way to leave it out. You need to make sure you are getting enough nutrients because, even though meat is really bad for you, what usually happens with vegetarians is they automatically believe that there is nothing else to eat so they will revert to chips and dip as a meal.
You can simply Google "vegetarian recipes" and you will get thousands of results.
There are loads of good meals for vegetarians: soup, spaghetti bolognese, pizza, roast dinner (basically normal but with vegetarian pie, and vegetarian gravy), veggie burgers, jacket potatoes (filled with anything vegetarian).
You can get the Quorn (vegetarian protein brand) version of pretty much anything that's meat, for example sausages.
Move out. I wasn't able to be a vegetarian until I moved out of my parents' house.
