All i trually need to know is...
CAN YOU BE A VEGETARIAN IF YOU EAT CHICKEN?Can you be a vegetarian if you eat chicken?
NO N NO NO NO
NO...............chicken is meat, being a vegrtarian means not eating any kind of meatCan you be a vegetarian if you eat chicken?
no! it's all about convenience for your friend. it's convenient for her to eat chicken.
OMG chicken is a vegetable??? And all these years I was avoiding it!Can you be a vegetarian if you eat chicken?
Nope, a true vegetarian doesn't eat any meat at all.
Nope...You can not eat meat! Thats the whole Idea..No Animal Products of any kind
NO, NO, NO!!!
A person who eats ANY flesh from ANY animal is not a vegetarian, so your friend is not a vegetarian!
If it was once a living animal, vegetarians do not eat it. This includes chicken (last time I checked a biology text, birds were still members of the animal kingdom,) fish (ditto,) snails, worms, etc... No animals. Period.
Can you plant little chicken seeds and watch them sprout? No? What!!! You mean chicken is not a plant, it's an animal? Wait, don't vegetarians only eat plant based foods? So they can't eat animals, like *gasp* chicken? Who knew....
no you are not a true vegetarian if you eat any type of meat. She is eating healthy, but not VEGETABLES only, which is what a true vegetarian is.
Of course not. Vegetarains do not eat animals.
Vegetarian: a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc.
By definition no a vegetarian doesn't eat meat and a chicken is meat the vegetarian society website has a list of definitions of different types of vegetarian, although its probably not worth worrying about if she wants to call herself vegetarian its just a name.
The truth is, you can call yourself anything. However it does not mean that you actually are what you call yourself. Think of it this way, I could call myself a teapot, but that does not make me one, and most people I told would just nod their head and say "ok" knowing full well I was not a teapot.
Vegetarian by definition(according to Websters): consisting wholly of vegetables , fruits, grains, nuts, and sometimes eggs or dairy products.
no, that's not vegetarian that's the other excuses that some how were tackied onto vegetarianism.

A vegetarian will not eat meat of any kind, no fish no chicken, nothing that has to die to be eaten. Vegetarians will eat eggs milk cheese etc. Vegans wont even eat that, they will eat nothing that came from an animal period. Your friend isnt a vegetarian, shes just a picky eater.
of course not
NO! It is just as bad as eating any other type of meat.
No, I believe as a vegetarian you can only eat non-living animal products such as unfertalized eggs, cheese/milk, and possibly fish
No, although chicken is healthier than red meat.
No, its she not a vegetarian.
no you cant be but i consider my self a veggy lover cos i love my veg and eat mostly veg but i do have the odd bit of chicken ...eat what you want dont worrie about the lables ... i like vegy lover ( but that could be turned around and made rude :-S )
There seems to be differing opinions on this.
I know people who eat chicken who call themselves vegitarian.
I also know some people who get borderline violent if you eat chicken or fish and call yourself a vegitarian.
Vegetarian means no meat at all. Meat is muscle and when you are eating chicken you are eating their muscle. So, you are eating the same things just off different animals. Your friend is an idiot.
NO!!!! You can't eat chicken or FISH and call yourself a vegetarian!
No. Many use the term pescetarian to refer to just eating chicken and fish, but a vegetarian is someone who does not eat meat. If you eat chicken, you're eating a meat.
NO. People may call themselves vegetarian, but I think vegetarianism is not eating any sort of meat.
No.
A vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat. Chicken is meat. duh. so is ham, beef, lamb and turkey. no kidding
a vegan is a person who does not eat any sort of animal product: including all meat and eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese....
i suppose you could consider her a "flexitarian" a vegetarian that occasionally eats some sort of meat...its a weird term i just heard about it on here: http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/guide/鈥?/a>
Yes, you would be considered by most vegetarians in other cultures as a "pollo-vegetarian". You won't find the same intelligence or civility among these crazies on this forum.
No but I know people who don't eat red meats at all and eat only chicken or fish. They say they are vegan, I say OK.
