I have been a vegetarian for a bit of time now. I also have a faster metabolism than most. My question is how do you personally maintain a healthy weight? Do you count calories, eat certain foods more etc.? I must be burning more calories than I am taking in. Overall I feel a better person eating a healthy vegetarian diet. How do you maintain a certain weight from being a vegetarian?
I listen to my body, I eat a full meal at 2am if that's what it wants, and I eat nutrient dense foods like dark leafy greens. I have stayed the same weight for 6 years as a vegan (maybe dropped 5 pounds). If you're losing weight, you need to eat more calories including healthy fats. Meat is high in fat and calories, so to replace it, it needs a bit more food overall. How do you maintain a certain weight from being a vegetarian?
I exercise and watch my diet. If my pants get too snug, I head to the gym.
