Is it vegetarian to still eat fish and chicken?

My best friend says shes a vegetarian, but she eats chicken and fish all the time. Is she still a veggie? Is it vegetarian to still eat fish and chicken?
No she isn't even close. She also doesn't eat healthy and is very selfish she is putting her self interests before anybody else and she is trying to gain social affirmation within the vegetarian community. Vegetarianism is so so so so so simple all you have to do is avoid eating animal flesh/meat and slaughter by-products (gelatin, rennet, bone char, animal fats, tallow...) People who eat animals are not vegetarian not even close.

Fish, chickens, cows, pigs, deer, horses, dogs, cats, turkeys, lambs, mollusks, goats, bees, snails, snakes...any animal (as in not vegetable or mineral) is NOT FOOD and not vegetarian if you eat them.
To correct my answer below:

Lacto-, Ovo- and Ovo-Lacto-Vegetarians are true vegetarians.

This has no bearing upon your friend, who is a Flexitarian (Semi-Vegetarian). :-)

Is it vegetarian to still eat fish and chicken?
She's considered a Semi-Vegetarian. She's a FLEXITARIAN.

Flexitarians (or semi-vegetarians) eat chicken %26amp; fish.

"Vegetarianism encompasses the practice of following plant-based diets (fruits, vegetables, etc.), with or without the inclusion of dairy products or eggs, and with the exclusion of meat (red meat, poultry, and seafood)."

Semi-Vegetarians fall into these groups:

Lacto Vegetarianism - Dairy is consumed

Ovo Vegetarianism - Eggs are consumed

Lacto-Ovo Vegetarianism - Dairy %26amp; Eggs are consumed

Flexitarianism - Meat, Poultry, Fish, Dairy %26amp; Eggs are sometimes consumed

Pescetarianism - Fish %26amp; Seafood are consumed

Vegans are a very strict group that do not consume any animal products at all, including eggs %26amp; milk even.
Some people still eat fish and I don't get that but I guess some people can put up a reasonable argument when it comes to this. Seafood is something vegetarians sometimes debate about. Her idea might be chicken is a bird, but I've never gotten that either. Chicken is still meat so no she's not vegetarian. Just kinda choosy about her meats. Is it vegetarian to still eat fish and chicken?
No. I am sorry but the true meaning of the word vegetarian is a person who only eats fruits and vegetables. That means no meat, poultry or fish. I don't mean to criticize your friend but she needs to be honest with herself and accept that she is not a true vegetarian because she is truly not. Tell her I said so and tell her to google the definition for vegetarian.

I'm sorry, but your best friend is an idiot. Of course she's not vegetarian. Chicken and fish are animals, and vegetarians do NOT eat the flesh of animals. What differentiates her diet from that of a carnist?
She is considered a semi-vegetarian. A real vegetarian doesn't eat any kind of meat. Semi-vegetarians usually do it for health reasons and don't call themselves vegetarians.
No, she's not vegetarian at all. Vegetarians don't eat animals.
I'm the same but don't consider myself vegetarian. I'm eating animals..
No, she is a faketarian.
no-anything with animals in it is not vegetarian
She's just a picky omnivore.
Your friend is a liar and an idiot
Nope, your friend is not a vegetarian, your friend is a vegan. vegans can eat fish and chicken, and yes, they are meat. If it's an animal of any kind, it's meat. Being a vegetarian means you will not eat anything that is not a plant, If you eat any kind of meat, you can't call yourself a vegetarian. I guess I should call myself a vegeatrian, because the only meat I eat is beef.
I am a vegetarian and I do NOT eat chicken. I do eat fish but I'm particularly picky when it comes to sea food. Chicken is the most common food vegetarians keep away from.
There's different degrees of vegetarian. Some eat chicken and fish... Most white meats. Vegans don't eat any animal products. So... It depends on the person amd their strictness
no she just eats healthy
fish yes chicken no
