Hi,
Im vegetarian since 10. Im a male. My diet isint the best to be honest, and Im not very healthy to be honest as my reaction times are generally slow compared to my peers. Please suggest a good diet plan for me and also give me tips on how to keep healthy.

Basic tips...
1. Cut out the junk foods! Remember, the root of vegetarian is “veg,” not “junk.”
2. Replace the meat. As sources of protein, an ounce of meat and a quarter cup of cooked beans are roughly equivalent. Soy and quinoa are both good choices. I eat TONS of tofu for the protein. The best part about it is because it has absolutely NO taste, whatever you put it in taste like what you put it in... (I don't know if that made sense ha ha.)
3. Watch your nutrients! Be careful to get enough omega-3 fatty acids, iron, zinc, iodine, calcium, and vitamins D and B-12, according to the ADA.
4. Read labels. Vegetarian packaged and processed foods are subject to the same hazards as the nonvegetarian alternatives.
5. Look for foods that are fortified with extra nutrients for a nutritional boost. Choose soy products that are fortified with calcium, vitamin D and B12.
6. Try tofu and soy crumbles, which are mild-tasting and absorb the seasonings and flavor of whatever
you cook them with.
7. Eat plenty of dark, leafy greens, which are rich in iron and provide calcium.
8. Top salads, soups, stews, and omelets with beans, nuts, or seeds to add protein.
9. Add a once-daily multivitamin/mineral for nutritional insurance.
10. Choose low- and nonfat dairy products.
11. Boost the healthy omega-3 fatty acids in your diet by eating fatty fish (if you include fish in your diet), enriched eggs, walnuts, flaxseed, and canola oil.
