I want to become a vegetarian but I have had trouble trying before?

My brother has been vegetarian since he was five and he is sixteen now and my dad has been vegetarian for the same amount of time and i just don't know how they do it does anybody have any tips to help me stay on track and make sure i am not eating anything that has meat in it or any clothes that are made with animal products THANK YOUI want to become a vegetarian but I have had trouble trying before?
You have to stay dedicated to your commitment. I agree, not eating meat must be hard, but not impossible. Just practice every day, and you will get used to not eating meat. Substitute meat for vitamin tablets, which will give you protein that you are missing. Good luck
Don't become a vegetarian! Not that i have anything against them, but it's not as good as everyone thinks. Your body looses so much nutrients that are helpful if you stop eating meat. Humans are made to eat meat not just vegetables.

If you still want to be a vegetarian though then here are the tips i can give you:

- You can't take it away all at once because them you will have the cravings and the lightheadedness, weaning yourself off meat is the best solution, then it gives your body more time to become used to your new diet

- I also suggest that you begin taking a multi vitamin and eating more nuts, berries, tofu, anything you can find that has protein and antioxidants in it

- You're going to have to stay up on these things to get the nutrients, etc. that you wont be getting from meat.

- Get some of your friends to start with you, then you will have someone to remind you to stay on track.

- When you see meat dont think about the taste, think about the poor dead and dying animals that are killed for your pleasure in eating them.

- Put a picture of a cute pig or cow up in your room or on your fridge, it reminds you that this is what your saving.

Good luck with whatever decision you make!I want to become a vegetarian but I have had trouble trying before?
I'd suggest taking it slowly instead of all of a sudden stopping meat and animal product consumption. Start by cutting out all red meat from your diet, then all pork (ham, bacon, sausages, ...), then all poultry and if you want all fish and eggs and anything derived from animals, such as milk, cheese, yogurt and food containing gelatin. Since your brother and father are already vegetarian I am sure they can help you stay motivated and not cave into meat. But the most important part is to know why you are doing this: is it for you health, or is it because you find that the cruelty and misery animals dwell in horrible?

Cheers! and good luck.
ok this really worked for me. i wanted to be vegetarian so badly. so i told people i was vegetarian. i ahdnt eaten meat for about 3-4 days before that. so i told them that i was. i alwasy wanted to go back to meat but i didnt because i didnt want people to make fun of me for it. now i dont eat meat and fish and dont plan to. tell you family you are going vegetarian that way you cant get caught. if that doesnt work then try this.

I don't think people can give tips.

You just decide not to do it, and you don't.

If people change their mind after going vegetarian or vegan I think they've lost part of their free will and are showing that they're addicted to food and that food has control over them.

Stick a photo of a slaughterhouse above your meal table... that'll put you off the meat.
