So Ive been a vegetarian for about a week and it will be 2 weeks on friday but anyways Ive started to have regular BM's every other day! I think this is because im a Vegetarian! Could this be it? Because when i ate meat it was usually about 2 times a week on a good week. ?Its pretty weird but is this because im a vegetarian ?
Yep. Of course ANY diet change can affect your bowel movements, and chances are you are consuming more fibers in your diet now than when you ate meat.
This is a GOOD thing.
If you're eating more vegetables, yeah. More fiber = more and softer poop. It's not because you're not eating meat, it's because you're eating more vegetables. The two are not mutually exclusive.
Man, I don't know what I'd do if I only pooped every other day. I would not like that at all. But then everyone's digestive system goes slightly differently so you're probably good where you're at.Its pretty weird but is this because im a vegetarian ?
yea, certainly much better! ultimately you should be going at least once a day. eat plenty of greens, do green smoothies-trust me they are delish! im trying out water kefir right now(a non-alcaholic fermented, very powerful probiotic beverage), look into that, you most likly are in need of some major replentishing of your intestinal bacteria and yoghurt just dont cut it unless it's homemade from raw milk. kefirs are 10 times more powerful and have up to 40 different organisms, thats more than even the best probiotic pills. and i always like to mention chia seeds while on the subject, check em out.
Ideally, you should be pooping every day. You're probably eating more fiber (plant foods have it, animal foods don't), which helps move things along. I sometimes can tell how well I'm eating by my evacuations. Not to be gross, but what comes out should be large and relatively soft.Its pretty weird but is this because im a vegetarian ?
Going only 2 times per week is so unhealthy. Yes your new diet is to thank for your new found regularity. I go at least once per day now that I don't eat meat.
I'd credit vegetarianism with your regularity. You're getting a lot more fiber, and other nutrients found in fruits and vegetables and such will help you get rid of the waste more efficiently.
It's very likely. You are eating much more fiber.
Already said but once a day it better. You are on the path either way.
