14 is perfectly fine. I was 14 when I became a vegetarian, and that was almost 34 years ago. My mother became a vegetarian before she was 10, and that was over 66 years ago. I'm now a vegan (for about 6 weeks now).
Don't worry too much about the protein - that seems to all that most people think about when you tell them that you're a vegetarian, yet protein deficiency is virtually non-existent in developed countries like ours. The reason for that? Because almost every food contains some protein. If you really are worried about it, then just make sure you eat a variety of protein-rich foods, such as (just a few examples) whole wheat, lentils, beans, tofu, tempeh, seitan, quinoa, chia, amaranth, millet, buckwheat, peanuts, tree nuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, etc.
What you should worry more about than protein, being a teenage girl, is iron. Make sure you get enough of that in your diet. And one way to increase your absorption of iron from your food, is to increase your intake of vitamin C, and to cut out caffeine from your diet (that means no cola, no coffee, no 'energy' drinks). Good sources of iron include molasses, yeast, sesame seeds, spinach.
If you're going to be eating dairy products and/or eggs, you don't need to worry about vitamin B12. If you aren't, then you can probably get your B12 from yeast, seaweed, mushrooms and fortified vegan products.
Don't worry about omega-3 either. Nobody needs to take fish oil. Absolutely nobody. Flax seeds and walnuts, amongst other 'oily' plant sources, can take care of your omega-3 needs.
In some countries a parent can be thrown in prison if found out they have their child on a Vegetarian diet.
Being a Vegetarian is bad at any age. Going Vegetarian will guarantee your body is lacking critical nutrients to think properly. As we know, when it needs food, our body indicates this to us with the feeling of hunger. But there are also other signals if specific nutrients are deficient. Meat is the best source of several nutrients. When our bodies are deficient in these, we become irritable and aggressive. This is a perfectly natural signal built into our genetic make-up over our evolution: our bodies are telling us to go out and kill something to eat. This is why strict vegetarians tend to be so vociferous. Is it bad for a 14 year old to go vegetarian?
as long as you get all your proper and complete protiens you should be ok it can cause problems though like make your period lighter and fewer make sure you can eat most lentials and fruit and veggies otherwise it would be a very bad decision! I am one have been for 4 years now but I was also a vegan for 2.5 so just know what your doing and make sure your parents are as committed to it as you are!
It's never "unhealthy' to go Veggie,
it's probably on of the healthiest things you can do.

nope, i know a lot of kids that were vegetarian since birth and they're all tall and healthy. meat is unhealthy at any age since it's so hard to digest with solidifying fats which clogs our arteries. not talking about heavy pesticides that are sprayed on their food, powerful hormones injection, and a lot of antiobiotics which all will weakens our body
It is a healthy choice. Protein isn't as much an issue as you hear. As long as you eat whole grains and legumes and lots of fruit and veggies you will be fine.
I'm 15 and turned vegetarian at 13. You should go to a nutrition center. Way to go if you do go for it, people like you make the world a better place :D
It is bad for a child of your age to go on any kind of diet without parental supervision unless you are really educated about nutrition.
My girlfriend has been a vegetarian for 11 years. Started when she was 8. She is perfectly fine.
Humans are designed to be vegetarian. We are not meat eaters. It's that simple. Your age and weight etc. has nothing to do with it. My kids have been vegan since birth, and they are fine. In fact, they are better than fine. They are actually tall for their age. And my eldest daughter is physically advanced to the point that she is in gymnastics with others older than she is. They rarely get sick. No cavities in their teeth. Well, I could tell you all about the differences, and there are lots, but know this, it's not unhealthy to be a vegetarian at any age, but it is unhealthy to be eating meat and junkfood and white flour and white sugar and white salt and processed non-organic foods etc.
My kids are not the only ones. Plus, there was a girl in my class at school that was vegetarian since she was born... she just never like the taste of meat she said, so she didn't eat it. Simple. Did she have to have some kind of 'special' meal plan etc.? No, of course not. Meat is not some kind of wonder food that you cannot live without. As I said, we are not designed to digest meat; nothing about our digestive system is.. not our teeth, jaws, saliva, digestive fluids, intestinal tract... it just goes on and on. If you pay attention in your high school biology class, you'll see what I'm talking about. See, knowledge is partly about having access to such knowledge, but it's also about opening your eyes and ears and mind etc. Plus you have people that do actually know the difference but still say, "Well, I'm still going to do it anyway, even though I know it's wrong." Just like that actor in the move Fast Food Nation where he was so disturbed by what he saw in the slaughterhouse factory where they kill cows, he was just starring off into the distance, he was just leaning against the wall in silent horror. But later, he said, "Well, bla bla bla I'm still going to eat meat..." Why? Why would he do that after having his eyes opened to the truth and the horror of it all etc.? Because he cannot handle the truth; he just wants to go back into the Matrix and live a life of ignorant bliss.
A well balance diet will comprise of meat, and other proteins sources
At anyone age , it is unwise to go to own extreme in a diet for a prolong period time. Consult the local food guide for moar details.
It's bad at any age, only Godless heathens are vegetarian,
