im trying not to eat natural flavors because lots of times it invovles meat. unless it says the flavors are from soy and veggie and stuff. well, i saw on the back of mayo (kraft) that there are some NFs in there and i wanted to know is it ok?
becuase i called but i allways miss them and i didnt call today and i forgot and i wanna make a sandhwich RIGHT NOW so tell me if you know please
what kinda NF is it and is it veggieIs it ok for a vegetarian to eat mayo?
yes, you can since you're just a vegeterian. regular mayo isn't vegan so vegans can't eat it.
NOt really because the base of mayonaise involves eggsIs it ok for a vegetarian to eat mayo?
I think as long as your not lacto-vegetarian
The egg is the part that is animal product. So unless the mayonnaise has GELATIN in it, which is horse hoofs ground up, it is OK to eat. Since you don't care if you eat eggs. But there is a good mayonnaise called 'Veganaise' in some stores that is vegan. I eat that.Is it ok for a vegetarian to eat mayo?
hmmm actually i believe there are eggs in mayo...
do you eat eggs?
and i doubt there are any meat natural flavors in mayo
yes if your a vegitarian
No if your a vegan....mayo is animal by product.(.ie egg)
Unfortunately, that is where they get you. The "natural flavorings" part is never revealed because of proprietary rights (hence, the secret ingredients). It usually involves something on the lines of mustard, mustard oil, fat, lemon juice, garlic, and/or herbs. But it can also contain something animal derived. So, not all mayonnaise is the same.
If you have a favorite mayo, write/email/call the company and ask if it is vegetarian friendly. Otherwise, just grab mayo from the vegetarian section or just pretend that it is vegetarian (joke). Anyways, you have probably dug into the sandwich by now. I hope it was delicious.
You can get eggless mayo try WholeFoods or Wild Oats. It is not bad stuff. Also something called Nayonnaise made from soy is very good and is vegetarian. hope this helps
Why not use Veganaise? Perfect alternative. No dairy products. I've been using for years and although I'm not vegan, I'm pretty close. I try to avoid if I can but sometimes when out and about, it's tough to resist a slice of pizza. If you change what you can, you'll feel better about yourself.
Probably fine, but if you want you could try vegenaise (vegan mayo) sold at Whole Foods and other places. It tastes really good.
Oui, you weirdo freak.
unless you're an ovo-vegetarian or vegan, than no. but if you're just a vegetarian (no meat) than yes.
