Just turned vegetarian and having several cravings?

Hi, Just tuurned vegetarian and i have been doing it for 2 weeks. And I can't stop craving sweets (before I did not like them ) and I am eating twice as much. Is there a reason for this? Is my body lacking something? I barely ate meat before (4 times a month) and I was fine then. Anyone have an idea?Just turned vegetarian and having several cravings?
Sounds like sugar cravings to me.

what does the rest of your diet consist of? you may want to have less sugar and carbohydrates and have some more protien and enzymes.

less bready more veggie : )

dont listen to them, you can do it on a vegetarian diet, and your body will love you for it.

you just have to learn a bit more about food and where all our nutrients come from, but thats ok its interesting : )

also you may have to start eating a bit more, when you eat meat it slows your system down so much you dont realise your not eating enough. having a bit more fore dinner might be a good idea to keep you going through the day.

try eating nuts and seeds instead of candy or sweets and you can also eat fruit in the day to keep your energy up.
Iron deficiency, lower energy level= craving for quick sweet energy. Start adding a daily egg for protein and iron, as your

periods will run you down. Maybe you need to reconsider this change if your body isn't happy with it. Best wishesJust turned vegetarian and having several cravings?
you are probably not getting enough vitamins or protien. talk to your doctor and he/she will give you supplements so that you can still be a vegetarian but get all the nutrients you need from meat.
Your not getting as much proteins, so your body wants sweets. There is other ways to get proteins in your diet without meat. Energy bars are a good source of protein. Good Luck!Just turned vegetarian and having several cravings?
sweets usually consist of alot of carbohydrates.Once u eat them u just crave more.i read that n that adkins diet book.seems 2 b true n my experience.
You may not be getting enough iron or other vitamins.
replace the sugary/processed sweets with fruit, it's very sweet too and with muuuuuuuuuch more nutrients that in any candy out there :)
Well i'm not sure that it is iron that you are lacking but if it is just have a handfull of dried fruit everyday, dried fruit has the most iron out of anything even some meats have less iron than dried fruit! hope it helps!
