Like, you didn't know there was meat on your food and you ate it by accident. How did you feel afterwards?Vegetarians, were there times that you ate a piece of meat by accident?
Not so good, and apology myself, just tell you this, there are some traditional rules here in Taiwan for a vegetarian, you make all your cooking stuff off of all other stuff if they are meat friendly.
Also, before you go to a restaurant, we are curious if the restaurant a pure veggie or a mix of both eat and also offer vegie food, the best way also if we know the owner, chances are, if you're already a vegetarian and opened a restaurant, likely we trust you to eat there.
Hey, many vegans/vegetarians have done that. I once ordered a bean burrito at a crappy taqueira, took a bite, and mid-swallow, realized it was a BEEF burrito. I was mad, but I calmly went up, thinking she misheard me. I calmly bring up the fact that I ordered a bean burrito, and the woman said "YOU SAID BEEF I HEARD YOU" and I said "I'm a vegetarian, WHY would I order a beef burrito?". They fixed it, but I never went back (the food sucked anyway). That left me pissed off
I've also grabbed a sample of minestrone soup at Wild Oats, thinking it was vegetarian, ate it, then read it had chicken stock. I was mad at myself, but that one was MY fault.Vegetarians, were there times that you ate a piece of meat by accident?
Really didn't feel that bad, i don't understand some vegetarians here who feel the need to whip themselves basically, i was more like ''ah f*ck, my bad. Right just make sure i don't do that again''.
I'm going to sound like a total idiot now, but i went vegetarian %26amp; continued taking fish-liver tablets which also contain gelatin, i was so used to just taking one a day for a good decade that it didn't occur to me anymore it was fish. When my parents pointed this out i cut it out of my diet, simple as.
Lots of times, for example, I became Veg when I was a kid and didn't realise so many things had hidden animal ingredients, I felt sick when I found out about vertain things, like rennet and many other Animal ingredients.
But not guilty, we all learn.Vegetarians, were there times that you ate a piece of meat by accident?
yes x-) How I felt... well, I left the food, of course. I didn't feel bad as it wasn't my.. wish/choice/fault or sth. That's just like.. for example to hit badly a friend with a ball while playing. You didn't mean it, but it happened.
I accidentally ate a tiny peice of chicken once. I felt weird after words but I knew it was an accident so I was still a vegetarian so I got over it quickly.
When me and my girlfriend were in amsterdam we accidentally bought a pasta sauce with tiny pieces of sausage in, when we both realised we spat it out and never spoke of it again. I felt ashamed and disgusted.
