Vegetarians, were there times that you ate a piece of meat by accident?

Like, you didn't know there was meat on your food and you ate it by accident. How did you feel afterwards?Vegetarians, were there times that you ate a piece of meat by accident?
No, I've never accidently eaten a piece of meat since being vegetarian. (I'm now vegan). I imagine it would be quite difficult to do that - I'd notice meat in my food straight away through look, smell, texture, taste. If I did accidently eat it I'd probably feel and be ill - I haven't eaten meat for 4 years.

I have accidently eaten cochineal (squashed beetles) food colouring because something wasn't fully labelled on the outside packaging, but when I checked the inside leaflet, it had cochineal on!!! I was pretty annoyed about that, but there was nothing I could do - I'd eaten it, and it just taught me to be extra extra careful about checking ingredients.
Ive had food go in my mouth with meat in it...it came right back out.

So Yara, are you a vegetarian or not? Because I notice you posted on another question recently saying that you were a vegetarian and felt weak. (which doesnt happen). So my guess is you are about 12, and are not vegetarian and are here attention seeking.

So would an omnivore who wasnt eating right feel weak?, Rain Drop? Im just curious since you seem to be an authority. Simply being a vegetarian doesnt cause one to feel weak. Eating a poor diet may do so.Vegetarians, were there times that you ate a piece of meat by accident?
Yes. I didn't like it, but tried not to get too worked up over it. It has only happened because my order wasn't clear enough, and the person thought I said something I didn't. I no longer mumble my order to people, and speak clear enough for them to understand. I haven't had a problem since.
Well there was one time in Paris back in 1987... due to my barely adequate French, and a Vietnamese waiter's barely adequate French, I had a mouthful of jellyfish - couldn't swallow it and very daintily spat it into my serviette. That is the only occasion in over 30 years.Vegetarians, were there times that you ate a piece of meat by accident?
Yes, I have accidentally eaten it before. i didnt realize what the weird taste was until it was too late. then it grossed me out. but i would never eat meat on purpose.

and to spkunze1, some people, when they are vegetarian and not eating right, can feel weak.
No way, if i did i would feel guilty! i would look very carefully at ingredients and the food I am eating.
As far as i know i have not eaten meat for 25 years.
How would you not know unless you were blind and had no sense of smell???
