Will a vegetarian get a stomach ache if they eat something made with lard?

I know that people who have been vegetarian for a long time will get physically ill if they eat meat... Will the same effects occur if they eat something containing lard (say, a pie crust), since it's derived from animal fat? or is it about the digestibility of the protein in the meat or something that creates problems in a vegetarian's stomach? Will a vegetarian get a stomach ache if they eat something made with lard?
No they won't. That's a myth propagated by pro vegetarian groups and fanatics to scare other vegetarians if they choose to go back to eating meat. The worst thing that can happen is you may have a mild upset stomach in the beginning. But that a big "maybe" and probably won't happen. Also, any ill effects you might experience would be psychosomatic or imaginary because of your previous opposition to eating meat or meat byproducts. .
I'm 30 years old, and I've been a vegetarian since i was 14. Vegetarians don't eat meat- some eat dairy and fish; Vegans don't consume any animal by-products; so vegetarians wouldn't have any issues with lard if we're talking in terms of animal fat or dairy. But lard is also lumped into margarine and cholesterol, which have nothing to do with it.

Vegetarians don't get stomach aches from eating meat suddenly- if they do it's either b/c they have a mental aversion to it, or some sort of digestion issues with it, not b/c they haven't consumed it in awhile. Lots of people only eat meat once in a blue moon, particularly in third world countries and socialist/communist areas were it's hard to come by or rationed, and they don't have any issues. Will a vegetarian get a stomach ache if they eat something made with lard?
Depends on the "purity" of the vegetarian. Vegans who have been such for like a very very long time, yes they will get ill. Vegetarians who eat chicken, fish, eggs etc. probably not so much.
Most pie crusts now are made with margarine, not lard. If I ate something with meat in it. Like chicken or beef I would most likely be sick from guilt instead of bodily wise. Will a vegetarian get a stomach ache if they eat something made with lard?
No. I've accidentally eaten a lot of stuff that's been cooked with lard, or even had actual meat in it and I didn't get sick....
